What is Sekhem Massage?
Sekhem is the ancient Egyptian word for power or energy, and the Sekhem energy is the driving force behind this modality. In this session, we work with the body as a living energetic system, where emotions, sensations, breath, and touch are all connected.
The massage may include slow intentional touch, light to medium massage, breath awareness, energetic work, ritual, and body awareness. Depending on your needs, the session may draw from different bodywork influences such as tantric bodywork, shiatsu, lomi lomi, Ayurveda, rebalancing, and dearmouring.
The intention is to support relaxation, energetic flow, emotional release, sensual awakening, and a deeper connection to your own aliveness.

You are welcome to take a cleansing shower before the session, allowing you to release the stresses of the day and arrive more fully in the present moment.
The session opens with a gentle ritual to invite relaxation, trust, and connection. You will then lie comfortably on a futon, and the bodywork begins.
